Flash Gordon 30th Anniversary

Flash Gordon
With the rash of '80s nostalgia and remakes, it is only fitting to have have some rereleases from the era, and what better than the Blu-ray release of FLASH GORDON. Kitsch and camp it epitomises the decade, especially with its iconic Queen soundtrack.

Based on the comic books by Alex Raymond and Don Moore, this movie doesn't really need reviewing. The familiar story is about Flash (Sam J Jones) the football hero skyjacked aboard Dr Zarkov’s (Topol) spaceship along with the beautiful Dale Arden (Melody Anderson).

The threesome is drawn into the influence of the planet Mongo where they encounter Ming the Merciless (Max Von Sydow) and together must foil his plot to destroy Earth. Also stars Brian Blessed, Timothy Dalton, Richard O’Brien, Peter Duncan and Robbie Coltrane, and shot in glorious, vibrant Technicolor.

Flash Gordon Blu-ray
