Buffy and Angel box sets to win

Thanks to Joss Whedon we are inundated on our screens, both big and small, with tempestuous teenage vampires.

He may not have created the genre but he certainly brought some smarts to the genre with the ever popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer, whose mythology has almost surpassed that of Bram Stoker’s original. Unfortunately, Twilight managed to undo nearly all that good work with a liberal dose of glitter.

Thankfully True Blood brought some credibility back to genre, and Vampire Diaries managed to bridge the gap for teens, not old enough to enjoy True Blood’s debauchery, looking for something with a bit more substance.

Buffy Boxset

As good as True Blood and Vampire Diaries are, it is always your first love that you remember, and not only was Buffy cute and bad ass, but the show had some of the smartest writing around, as well as some truly scary and innovative shows.

Although it has been endlessly repeated on TV there is nothing like a solid DVD box set to really enjoy the show in all its glory (and the season with Glory was one of the best). However, those Buffy box sets didn’t come cheap - until now.

Thanks to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Play.com, all seven seasons are now available in a new package for just £50, making it the ideal gift. And don’t forget that the motion comic of Buffy Season 8 is also available.

Angel Boxset
It’s not just Buffy that has had a makeover - for those who want something a little more grown up, spin-off series Angel has as well.

While it may not have the same wit as Buffy it still has its moments, especially when Spike - the undisputed hero of both series - turns up. The complete series of Angel is also available from Play.com for £50.

We have one each of these fantastic boxsets to give away. Just click on the link below to enter the competition and specify which one you would prefer.
