Win 5 brilliant horror Blurays...

We often get asked 'is that a horror or a sci-fi film then?' and mostly, we don't care... if it is a man running around a forest with an axe...well ok, if the same guy is running around a space station with an axe... bring it on!

However, given Halloween is almost here (or gone by the time you read this), it seems like the perfect time for suitably spooked horror competition.... so here are some of cinema’s finest horror movies and the unforgettable moments which keep you on edge even after the credits role and what's better is you can win a copy of each one!

We’ve teamed up with FindAnyFilm.com’s ‘Moments Worth Paying For’ campaign to show audiences that expertly crafted scares are ‘worth paying for’ and have put together our list of the 5 scariest movie moments ever! If we’ve missed your scariest movie moments, then tweet them with your top picks using @FindAnyFilm #scariestfilm #worthpayingfor.

  1. The Ring (2002) - Samara Crawls Out of the TV
Proving that you too couldn’t look away from a cursed videotape, the moment when Samara crawls out of a well and into the living room of her victims is a masterclass in suspense. Going against the grain from most horror films by not employing shock tactics, the image of the limp-haired girl will stay with you whenever you turn on your TV.
  2. The Omen (1976) – It’s all for Damien
At a child’s birthday party, Damien’s faithful nanny calls out “It’s all for you” before jumping off the roof of a building and hanging herself. This is the moment where everything changes in the classic horror; the camera zooms slowly towards the spawn of satan as the audience is left wondering at the horrors to come.
  3. Misery (1990) - Hobbling
A moment to make even those with a strong stomach squirm; obsessive fan Annie taking a sledgehammer to novelist Paul Sheldon’s ankles is enough to make you glad you’re not famous. Determined to keep the romance writer to herself as he plans his escape, Annie takes ever more drastic actions to ensure that Paul never leaves and continues writing her favourite stories.
  4. The Exorcist (1973) - Spinning Head
Often topping lists as the scariest film of all time, The Exorcist features many iconic moments which left cinemas at the time having to provide sick bags. Yet the moment which tends to stick in most audience’s minds is when Regan, possessed by a demon, shockingly spins her head 360o around during an exorcism.
  5. Poltergeist (1982) - The Clown Under The Bed
A group of ghosts terrorise a family by causing bizarre and frightening phenomena, including gravitational shifts, unexplained portals and animating supposedly inanimate objects. Chiming back to childhood fears, one particularly unnerving moment sees a creepy toy clown come to life and attempt to strangle young Robbie in his bed.
