Alter Egos

Forget those glossy spectacles like THE AVENGERS and THE DARK KNIGHT. Forget the violence of KICK-ASS and SUPER. ALTER EGOS is the opposite of the Hollywood moulded super-franchises.

This quirky indie is full of dark comedy. The nearest comparison one could make is to THE INCREDIBLES, where superheroes are outlawed. However, this takes its own unique approach to the superhero genre and does it so well. In this film’s world, superheroes are real, but not respected. They have taken care of all the crime, leading them to them lose government funding and public support, which seems rather timely!

The superheroes have a mixture of abilities (such as the cop who can become invisible, but only for 2.3 seconds), but the film focuses on Fridge. Fridge is going through his own emotional crisis (his girlfriend is cheating on him with his alter ego) so he leans on his friend and fellow superhero, C-Thru to help him through this difficult time.

The film features music from Sean Lennon, who also makes a cameo appearance.

Following its world premiere at Fantasia in Canada, the world’s largest genre festival, we are delighted to be hosting the European Premiere.

"ALTER EGOS puts a cockeyed smile on the face of the modern superhero movie."
