We're delighted to welcome Sheffield electronica duo ANIMAT to the BFI stage with a live rescore of John Carpenter's first feature, DARK STAR.

This film is widely regarded as a cult classic and a seminal influence on 21st century sci-fi. Co-written by and starring ALIEN screenwriter Dan O’Bannon, this low-budget space comedy has found its place in the science fiction pantheon as the missing link between 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and RED DWARF.
