The Man from the Future

In 2011, Zero, a bitter but brilliant physicist, spends his days working on a new power source, and brooding over the fateful night 20 years previously, when he was publicly betrayed and humiliated at a college party by Helena, the girl of his dreams.

Zero turns on the reactor and, to his surprise, it opens a portal to the past, leading him to that traumatic night in 1991.

Grabbing the opportunity, he warns his ‘past’ self and returns to his altered present. Now he is a powerful yet corrupted businessman, even more separated from Helena.

His only option is to once more return to the past and prevent himself from changing the present while trying to avoid time paradoxes caused by the presence of three versions of himself in 1991.

PRIMER, BACK TO THE FUTURE and many other great time travel films handle this tricky subgenre with style and supposed ‘accuracy’. Add L’HOMBRE DU FUTURA, a superbly told and very witty film to the list!
