BFI Film Production Workshop

BFI Film production

With the amazing quality of digital cameras and the power of home computers, making movies has never been easier. However, there are many ways to enhance your projects with proper planning and the right combination of equipment and workflow.

Join us for a day of workshops, talks and hands-on sessions looking at film production.

For those who shoot on DSLR or cinema-class cameras, such matters as lenses, filters, shooting spec and formats, digital transfers, 3D filming and distribution are all a minefield. With writers, directors and technicians in the room, you will get some of the best advice around.

We also have limited free tickets to director Ian Clark's new British thriller THE FACILITY, followed by discussion on the technology and workflow in the film.

Speakers include:

  • Jeff Brown, Brownian Motion
  • Carey Duffy, London Filter Company
  • Alia Sheikh, BBC R&D
  • Mark Bennett, Black Ice
  • Ian Clark, Director, THE FACILITY
  • Gareth Ward, DoP, Motion Mechanics
  • Mark Moreve, Freelance DoP

The day is kindly sponsored by Canon, who will have equipment on hand for you to try out and experts to talk over the best options for your project.
