It's time again to dress up and join us for a stroll through London!
This year SCI-FI-LONDON has teamed up with VARIETY, the Children’s Charity, to bring you our Annual Costume Parade.
Following the Parade we have an exclusive After-Party where, for a charitable donation of just £5, each ticket-holder will receive a drink on arrival, snacks, entertainment and a special R2-D2 and C3PO heart badge!
As every year, the Parade will show off a fine array of costumes and outfits spanning every imaginable corner of the Sci-Fi and Fantasy spectrum, with a fantastic after-party to conclude our celebration, where music, games, and special guests will be meeting you for an afternoon of Sci-Fi fun!
When?
The parade is taking place on Sunday 27th April 2014.
We will gather at 13:00 for photo ops, and to organise everyone into their positions within the parade. The parade will begin its journey at approximately 13:45.
Where?
We are gathering at Somerset House on the Strand in Central London.
Nearest Underground Stations: Temple, Covent Garden
Nearest Mainline Rail Stations: Charing Cross, Waterloo, Blackfriars
Who?
Cosplayers, zombies, stormtroopers, steampunks, daywalkers, superheroes, whatever your favourite film, game, TV or literary character, get out your 'Sunday best', dress up and join us for a fun filled parade!
Come dressed as anyone/thing you like! Although we are a Sci-Fi festival, the Parade is just to celebrate the fun and frivolity of dressing up, so there is no theme - we just want to encourage you all to come in some costume of sorts! That said, it is the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters, so remember not to cross the streams!
When preparing your costume, please keep certain things in mind. Many Science-Fiction and Fantasy costumes involve weapon-like accessories. Please see the Weapons Guidelines to ensure your own and public safety and that we all adhere to the law.
Party
This year, we are working in partnership with Variety, the Children’s Charity, to help raise money for children who are sick, disabled, and disadvantaged. Variety help provide activities, days out, mobility, medical equipment and much more.
Admission to the Sci-Fi-London Parade After-Party is by ticket only, which will cost just £5 and ALL proceeds will go to Variety.
The After-Party will be a great event with party games, refreshments and a few surprises along the way. The party will start around 3pm at the BFI Southbank, Blue Room.

In order to assist the organisers of the event to prepare for attendance, please register with us if you are attending so that we can get an idea of numbers.
