Aura

Four teenagers wake up in their car in an empty field. According to their watches it’s the middle of the morning, but it’s still dark. They also discover that they are inside an almost invisible dome. This bionic 'aura' reacts to their touch, and mysterious things start to happen. Seashells appear in and around their car, the smell and the sound of the ocean fill the air, and long-lost memories begin to manifest in the front of their eyes.

The group begins to explore the bizarre natural and supernatural phenomena, however their  investigations reveal much more than they anticipated or even imagined as they discover long-forgotten secrets rooted deep in the very core of mankind's existence. These ancient secrets have dire consequences, not only on their lives but also on the survival of our planet, as we know it.

This gripping Hungarian film has a Spielbergian feel to it with its teenage heroes encountering inexplicable cosmic forces, but with its European sensibilities, free of Spielberg’s trademark Americana sentimentality, it allows the film to explore more profound themes of our existence and our place in the universe. Like all good sci-fi, it gives the viewer plenty of food for thought.
