The Visit: An Alien Encounter

For decades humans have been broadcasting our existence into space whilst ‘first contact’ remains stubbornly elusive. With unprecedented access to the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, the military, and experts from leading space agencies.

The Visit : AN ALIEN ENCOUNTER imagines a first contact scenario, revealing the fears, hopes, and rituals of a species forced to confront alien life forms that may view us as a threat.

In this ‘simulation’ real-life experts imagine their responses to a visit from another world. Filled with sleek and often surreal imagery, the film fluctuates from fascinating to purposeful banality, depending on what’s under discussion. A feat of speculation that is likely to engross anyone intrigued by the topic.

We are delighted to have Michael Madsen and Prof. Chris Welch from the International Space University for an after-show Q&A.
