Despite the world being massively overpopulated, scientists insist on finding more ways of increasing our numbers, and experiments on cloning continue.
Closer to God explores the moral and ethical implications of human cloning, when a renowned geneticist announces the creation of the first human clone. However, an earlier experiment threatens to not only undermine the scientist’s reputation, but also the safety of his family.
Both points of view for cloning are played out in this thriller, which could best be described as a contemporary interpretation of the Frankenstein story, complete with an angry mob at the gates.
Between the two sides of the debate is a chasm filled with a dark secret that could destroy everything the scientist has built.
