Liza, the Fox Fairy

Festival preview in association with EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Liza is a nurse in Budapest looking after the Japanese Ambassador’s wife, and seeking love. Almost 30 she wants to settle down, but her only real companion is the spirit of a long-dead Japanese pop star who initially seems like her friend but turns her into a foxfairy out of jealousy. Henceforth, every man who desires Liza is destined to die horribly. Can she overcome this curse?

This is an amazing, surreal film, superstylish, funny and cruel – and filled with 60s J-pop croon-tunes. An intricate fairy-tale, unlike anything you have seen before – unless you have imaginary friends who behave like the Grim Reaper.

Don’t miss this breath-taking feature; you will be talking about it for weeks after.
