The survival aspect of post-apocalyptic films is generally not done very well and does not withstand much scrutiny. However, this British film (produced by our friends at Raindance) offers a realistic and plausible scenario within the narrative of an alien invasion.

Set in remote, rural England feisty teenager Sarah and her blind brother are taking refuge in their farmhouse, which is equipped with solar panels, a goat and a vegetable garden, allowing them to survive peacefully whilst hiding from the alien patrols.

When a wounded young man arrives at the farm, pursued by an unscrupulous group of bandits, their idyll comes under threat from something even more dangerous than the aliens – humans.

A uniquely British approach to the PA sub-genre, along the lines of the excellent feature, HOW I LIVE NOW, focuses on the drama of survival without the need for explosive heroics.
