Tower House School in East Sheen, London got so fed up of waiting for Peter Jackson to get his finger out and finish the Hobbit films that they decided to go ahead and, in what they believe is a first for a prep school in the UK, make their own instead.

Filmed over 16 full days at various locations around the UK including caves & mountains in The Peak District, Derbyshire, Tattershall Castle, Lincolnshire and the Anglo Saxon Village at Stow in Suffolk, the film clocks in at 90 minutes and involved 69 actors over the period of filming.

Currently only available for parents and pupils to view, there is nevertheless an excellent trailer online at thsboys.org.uk/hobbit/ and you should go and watch it.
