Star Trek crosses many TV shows, films, novels, comic books, games, conventions, fan videos, even its own language, and it's still going strong. But The Original Series, the one that kicked it all off and by extension started the whole franchise, is turning the big 50 in 2016.

Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage, a new show featuring iconic footage from the films and TV series accompanied by a live orchestra, will celebrate the milestone by touring American concert halls. UK fans will have the chance to see it first at its world premiere in November. Check out the trailer below: 

A symphony orchestra will accompany high-definition footage beamed to a 40ft screen, taken from Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and more (no word yet on the inclusion of The Animated Series). 

Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage will premiere on Sunday 1 November 2015, 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are available now from the Royal Albert Hall box office.
