On Saturday 11 July, BAFTA's headquarters (195 Piccadilly, London) will again open their doors for a day of panels, sessions, roundtables, one on ones, networking and a wrap party to round off the day. 

From the script to the sound, the environment to effets, the funding to the festivals, there are events for every aspect of independent filmmaking. Highlights include: 

  • a panel on developing and writing true stories with screenwriters Jeff Pope (Philomena) and Stephen Beresford (Pride), documentary-maker Morgan Matthews (X&Y) and director Elaine Constantine (Northern Soul
