Interview with Charlie Higson

Charlie Higson
Charlie Higson was in town recently promoting the third and latest book in The Enemy series, The Fear. For anyone who's been living under a rock for the last couple of years, the books are about a world where everyone over the age of 14 becomes infected with a disease that makes them slowly lose their minds, turning into mindless, shambling creatures, thirsty for blood and human flesh.

The stars of the show are the children across London, fighting for their lives and having to learn to stick together in order to survive when it's hard for them even to trust each other.

The Fear follows the exploits of Dog Nut's crew as they set out to find lost friends. It's a deadly mission stretching from the Tower of London to Buckingham Palace and beyond and as their mission continues - into the den of the Collector's lair - Dog Nut sets off a chain of events that will affect every kid in the city, and everyone starts to question who the real enemy is in the new, changed world.

The Fear by Charlie Higson
We were lucky enough to catch up with Charlie who spoke to us about the new book, about his thoughts on horror, his inspiration for this exciting, action-packed and macabre tale and about what used to keep him awake at night when he was younger.
