Lots of people, including fellow authors Patrick Ness, James Smythe, Kim Curran and Frances Hardinge, gathered in the hot, sticky basement of Forbidden Planet to listen to Tom’s dramatic reading that was followed by a Q&A and signing. All the while, we were plied with gooey, chocolaty brownies that the author had baked. Delicious!
