British Fantasy Round Table

The Best of British Fantasy 2013
To celebrate the launch of Salt Publishing's new anthology Best of British Fantasy 2013, Edited by Steve Haynes, SCI-FI-LONDON gathered three of the contributing authors for a round table discussion about fantasy writing in general, if there is such a thing as 'British' fantasy writing - and if there is, what it might be.

Joining me around the table were Jon Wallace who wrote 'Lips and Teeth' for this collection, and whose debut novel, Barricade, is published next year by Gollancz, E. J. Swift - or Emma to her Friends - who contributed the 'The Complex' and whose acclaimed first novel, Osiris, first part of the trilogy, The Osiris Project, is published by Del Ray, with book two, Cataveiro is due out later this year, and finally Lavie Tidhar, whose novel 'Osama' won multiple awards last year and whose short story, 'The Last Osama' can be found in this anthology. It's hard to keep track of all the stuff that Lavie has going on but keep your eyes peeled for new novel, The Violent Century, published by Hodder and five-part comic series Adler, from Titan.

Just a quick heads up that we had technical issues during the talk, so it ends a bit abruptly, even so there's a good hour of solid discussion to enjoy.
