Come along and celebrate the Post Apocalyptic Book Club's 200th event, an evening with esteemed authors Michel Faber, Catherine Chanter and Sarah Pinborough, at Waterstones Piccadilly on Tuesday 29th September.

With tales of a troubled world and an increasing sense of isolation, join PABC host Leila and this trio of terrific authors as they explore the fate of humanity and the familiar made strange through their novels, The Book Of Strange New Things (Faber), The Well (Chanter) and The Death House (Pinborough).

MICHEL FABER has written seven other books, including the highly acclaimed The Crimson Petal and the White, The Fahrenheit Twins and the Whitbread-shortlisted novel Under the Skin. The Apple, based on characters in The Crimson Petal and the White, was published in 2006. He has also written two novellas, The Hundred and Ninety-Nine Steps (2001) and The Courage Consort (2002), and has won several short-story awards, including the Neil Gunn, Ian St James and Macallan.  His sixth novel, The Book Of Strange New Things was shortlisted for the 2015 Arthur C Clarke Award for Science Fiction Literature.  Born in Holland, brought up in Australia, he now lives in the Scottish Highlands.

CATHERINE CHANTER was born and raised in the West Country. She has written for Radio Four and has had short stories and poetry published in a wide range of anthologies and publications. She won the Yeovil Poetry Prize in 2010. Catherine has a Masters, with distinction, in Creative Writing from Oxford Brookes University. The Well is her first novel and won the 2013 Lucy Cavendish Prize for Unpublished Fiction.

SARAH PINBOROUGH was born in Buckinghamshire, and now lives in London where she works as a full time, award-winning, writer and script-writer. Her published work, almost all of which is optioned for TV or film adaptation, includes the stunning novella The Language of Dying, THE DOG FACED GODS series, THE HIDDEN KINGDOM series, THE NOWHERE CHRONICLES (as Sarah Silverwood) and two standalone novels: The Death House and Thirteen Minutes.
