SCI-FI-LONDON 24hr Flash Fiction Challenge

Flash Fiction Challenge

Hot on the heels of the roaring success that was our 48hr Film Challenge comes another highlight of this years festival, one that looks set to be a firm favourite for future events, the SCI-FI-LONDON 24hr Flash Fiction Challenge.

Run in conjunction with our friends over at UrbanFantasist.com, and judged by SCI-FI-LONDON Festival Director, Louis Savy, Award Director for the Arthur C Clarke Award for Science Fiction Literature, Tom Hunter, SCI-FI-LONDON Literary Editor and author of Writing The Science Fiction Film, Robert Grant, and Urban Fantasist's own Charles Christian, competitors were asked to write a 1000 word science-fiction story, from a random title that was given to them, in just 24 hours. The response was absolutely amazing with more than 60 entries, and we're happy to congratulate the winner, Rebecca Innes, who was unanimously judged into 1st place for her story 'Forgetting'.

Large rounds of applause should also go to 2nd placed Julian Gyll-Murray for his story 'Equal Creations' and to Anthony D'Auria who came 3rd with 'Unsettled'.

Stay tuned because the pick of the jury will soon be online. Make sure you're following the SCI-FI-LONDON Twitter feed and Facebook page to make sure you get all the up to date news!
