NEW YORK, NY, June 4, 2010 – Vogster Entertainment, an indie innovator in video game design and content, released the comic tower defense game Robocalypse - Beaver Defense May 31, 2010, on WiiWare™ in North and South America and today June 4, 2010 in Europe.

Robocalypse

Robocalypse - Beaver Defense features a story written by the duo of Jay Lender, also known for his work on Spongebob Squarepants™, and Micah Wright. Lender and Wright focused on creating a game with the trademark humor of the Robocalypse franchise and one that also takes full advantage of the Wii™ system’s unique control scheme to provide a strategic game play experience.

“Robocalypse - Beaver Defense brings a new level of strategy and humor to the Wii,” said Daniel Prousline, vice president of development, Vogster Entertainment. “Lender and Wright have created an engaging story that will draw players in, but the deep game play and unique heroes and weapons will keep them coming back for more.”

Among the features Robocalypse - Beaver Defense brings to the battlefield are:

Hero M.I.T.E. (More Important Than Ever) – Directly control one of the super-tough Hero robots – moving battle towers that are the Thermidoom company′s pride and joy

Outrageous weapons – Heroes and towers can unleash spectacular weapons like laser beams, robot-seeking-missiles, flame throwers, chainsaws and falling anvils – all to fortify the HQ

Deep Strategy – Use the Nunchuk™ controller to marshal and place your defenses to stop the angry beavers’ hordes before they get to your HQ and destroy it
