For everyone experiencing Doc Who withdrawals, BBC Worldwide have got the remedy as they announced this week that Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is coming to a console near you in March.
To be exclusively launched on PS3 and the Vita, DW:TEC looks impressive with bold colour palettes and locations. Featuring the likenesses of and with original voice performances from Matt Smith (the Doctor) and Alex Kingston (River song), players taking on their roles will battle against (or as the trailer suggests, run away from) a variety of iconic foes including the steel, emotionless giants the Cybermen and those pesky Daleks.
Travelling across time and space to save the earth as a storm threatens to rip the universe apart, this title is “One of our most ambitious projects to date, using state of the art motion sensor technology to create stunning graphics as well as specially created vocals” according to Robert Nashak, EVP Digital Entertainment and Gaming at BBC Worldwide. “We’re delighted that we’re able to team up with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for this exciting release” he continued, revealing that this will be the first of many Doctor Who branded console games from BBC Worldwide.
For fans who might feel March still feels an eternity away, here’s a trailer to whet your eyes and ears.
