It’s that time of year again where our good friends over at GameCity Festival invite gamers from all over the UK to grace the slab squares of Nottingham for a huge cultural celebration of all things gaming.

Running from 20 – 27th October, the programme this year is aiming to big the biggest and best yet, kicking off with the World’s Largest Practical Science Lesson! Following on from their previous world breaking zombie dancing event back in 2008, from 2pm on Saturday 27th, Gamecity are inviting participants to don their lab coats and get hands on with slime and pop rockets during some simple but fun science experiments.

Elsewhere, Sci-Fi/film highlights in the GameCity programme include special previews of EA’s latest FPS Crysis 3, the welcome return of the fantasticly GameCity breakfasts where thoughtful game chat meets coffee and fry-ups, Lead Designer at Bossa Studios Mike Bithell talking about the brand new Merlin Facebook game (it’s great), Spilt Milk Studios who are having a Lazarus party (another sci-fi title to keep eyes peeled for), Adam Saltsman who will be giving an inside view into the brilliant film tie-in The Hunger Games: Girl On Fire plus the hotly contested GameCity Prize 2012 which will be awarded during the week.
