This week, SCI-FI-LONDON festival goers will be able to get hands on with Defiance the game; the groundbreaking futuristic online open world shooter that is interwoven with the brand new Defiance TV series currently on the SyFy channel.
As Ian Abbott reported earlier this month, Defiance the game is a continually evolving universe where players have already played alongside lead show characters Nolan & Irisa as well as taken part in massive Ark Fall battles with hundreds of other players from around the world. There are also very special missions which are just the beginning of a series of transmedia events as the game continually introduces new pursuits and storylines that connect the game and TV worlds. Starting today, players in the game can win a fabulous chance to see themselves on an upcoming episode of the Defiance TV series by playing the game!
To win, fans must outgun the competition in game from 30th April – 10th May. The ark hunter earning the most ark salvage per hour (excluding ark salvage earned from the Salvage Matrix) during their time played over the course of the contest will win. Only players who register for the contest and complete both the “Most Wanted: Competitor” and “Most Wanted: Rogue’s Gallery” in-game pursuits will be eligible to win. The “Rogue’s Gallery” pursuit tasks you with eliminating various mutants, raiders, 99ers, and more, while the “Competitor” pursuit pits you against other ark hunters in team-based PvP and Shadow War modes. The winner will have artists from the Defiance series render their character’s likeness into a special place in an upcoming episode!!
