The SFL team are rather giddy today, following the announcement that we have been named as a Games Media Awards finalist!
Covering all corners of the games press, national press, lifestyle media, national newspapers, radio, TV and blogging community; the GMAs are specialist awards celebrating the very best in games journalism and SFL are in the mix!

Picking up a nomination in the ‘Coverage by a Mainstream Website’ category, we will be dusting off our best party frocks and posh shoes for the awards evening on Thursday 10th October at the Vinopolis, Bankside, London. Joining over 50 writers and almost 60 online, broadcast and print media outlets as well as 350 guests, the awards night will also be the perfect way to get in the festival mood as our Oktoberfest will be kicking off at Stratford Picture House on the 11th!

We are really thrilled and proud to be in the GMA 2013 final. Festival Director Louis Savy on hearing the news said “SFL has a very sophisticated audience who appreciate well-crafted gaming. Our reviews never underestimate the intelligence of the end user and the festival has a proud history of road testing cutting edge games with developers. We love it when genres collide and a rich narrative is the result. Very happy to be nominated!”
